Original Watercolors and Prints by Kelvin B. Kerr

the Artist:
Growing up around the railroad in Shreveport, La., I've tried to recreate the thrills and excitment I've felt for this industry. The goal of this artwork is to give the viewer the sense of having been trackside while a train roared past.
This artwork has won several awards including Honorable Mention and First Place in the Annual Lakewood Library Art Show, Dallas, Tx.  Additionaly, works have won First and Second Premium awards in the Creative Arts Exhibit at the State Fair of Texas. Recently, one piece of artwork was featured in an exhibit " Railroads in American Life" aassembled by James D. Porterfield at the HUB Gallery at Penn State University.
